A multi-societal update to appropriate use criteria (AUC) coronary revascularization will be issued in coming weeks.

Have questions about how the recently released 2012 Revascularization Appropriate Use Criteria* should be utilized in the cardiac cath lab in determining when to perform cardiac catheterization? It is critical all members of the interventional cardiovascular care team understand what these revisions to the AUC mean for patient care. In order to stimulate discussion regarding appropriate use of revascularization and the best way to improve patient outcomes, SCAI hosted a free webinar on the topic as part of its Quality Improvement Toolkit (SCAI-QIT) Webinar Series.

As SCAI Quality Champions continue to implement the SCAI-QIT at their cardiac cath lab, this webinar will also provide participants with a focused look at how the revised revascularization AUC can be incorporated into the greater Toolkit.
